Dogs are one of man’s best friends, as the saying goes. There are many families and single owners out there who are extremely happy with their dogs. Dogs can be found in many places from pet stores, dog breeders, animal shelters, and from families who’ve had puppies they just can’t keep. Most often in animal shelters, getting a dog from a friend, and even in pet stores you will find mixed breed dogs and sometimes you may not know exactly what breed you really have.

Just as winters can be harsh for us, in the same manner winters can be severe and chilly for pets as well. Even if they are at home or in their dog kennels , and to make them feel warm dog sweaters are available, making them feel cozy and warm. Dog apparels are available for all seasons, right from cool, light summer wear to floral prints and even thick warm jackets and woolen wears to beat the cold. These sweaters are so cute and comfortable for dogs and are easily available as pets are now found in almost every house these days.

The holiday season is often the most joyous time of the year. However, joy can turn to tragedy if simple precautions are not taken to ensure the safety of your pets.

“Pets are curious by nature,” said Dr. Steve Hansen, a board-certified veterinary toxicologist and senior vice president of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Hansen, whose department also includes the ASPCA’s Animal Poison Control Center, asks pet parents to be mindful of their pets this holiday season.

The cause of lick granuloma has been linked to a genetic disorder and can be linked to insects. Dogs in some cases just keep licking an area such as a leg, groin, or tail until the hair has actually disappeared. When the hair disappears they begin to form little red bumps or lesions that become painful, swollen, and may bleed. In most cases it is thought that dogs suffering from lick granuloma do so due to excessive cleaning by the mother as a puppy. In most cases if the granuloma is left alone for a few days it will scab over and then heal.

Symptoms of brain cancer include personality changes, stress, aggression, shyness, or depression. They are also appetite changes, lethargy, lameness, muscle twitches, eye and facial issues, coordination problems, bleeding in the nasal cavity, respiratory issues, and heart problems. The early symptoms are usually related to the appetite, weight loss, and personality changes. As the brain cancer progresses you will see more changes and of course extremely muscle weakness.
